The community would love to have the tea room also sell books !!! This community does not have a book store other that the wonderful book stores for young children.

An interesting business along Bala Avenue that seems welcoming and affordable and interested in the community?!?! It almost sounds too good to be true… I grew up off Bala Avenue down by City Avenue and remembering the tea and coffee shops, the Asian grocery and gift shop, the video store, the vacuum/sewing machine repair shop, and all the other vibrant businesses is depressing now when I go by and see office after boring, converted office, super expensive businesses that no one in my neighborhood can afford to frequent, and the occasional vacant store front. I really hope this is successful and lives up to the likes of Taming of the Brew, which was a wonderful coffee shop with a very kind owner who always let me pay the difference the next day if I was short. I also had my first coffee date there. I hope to have fond memories of this place as well!

Are you interested in having a Writing Workshop at the Cynwd Station Tea Room? I’ve been teaching creative writing for over 20 years at Rosemont College, Temple University, Main Line School Night and Mt Airy Learning Tree. I’d be happy to lead a small group in writing memoir, short stories, essays or novels. If this sounds appealing – please contact me.

Hoping you will have kosher food and coffee. There is a huge demographic that will require this.

I’m ready! Would love hot beverages at this time of year & iced tea when it’s hot. And I love gingerbread any time (hint, hint).

Terrific! I’m sure my running partner, Randi and I, will be looking forward to resting, gathering trail mix and water here after a long run on the adjacent, and beautiful Cynwyd Trail. I am sure this Cynwyd Station will be full of joy! Thank you all…

I stopped by today and peeked in the windows. It looks wonderful, and your commitment to sustainability is excellent.
