Join local cookbook author and food blogger Marisa McClellan for a free canning demonstration on Saturday, September 19 from 3-5 pm. She’ll show you how to make a small batch of plum jam, will dig into the mechanics of boiling water bath canning, and talk about how to make the safest and most delicious home preserves possible. Marisa will demystify canning for the beginners and will offer useful tips and short cuts for seasoned preserves. All participants will go home with the knowledge to go home and make jam for their families.
